HDEC, a subsidiary of Continental Holdings Corporation (Stock Code: 3703), recently received the Public Construction Golden Safety Excellence Award in the Private Construction category for the Kaohsiung Ciaotou Wastewater Reclamation Plant BTO Project. As Taiwan’s highest honor in occupational safety and health, the award recognizes HDEC’s outstanding performance in occupational safety and health management and its strong safety culture.
The project is built upon the core principles of “source management and technology-driven risk reduction.” During the design and supervision phases, BIM simulations and AR-based safety inspections were introduced to identify construction risks in advance and ensure that protective measures were implemented prior to on-site operations. At the construction site, multiple smart safety systems and a web-based DWB (Don’t Walk By) platform were deployed, creating a real-time monitoring network and encouraging full participation from all personnel in maintaining safety standards.
The project also fully implements the ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management System and the TOSHMS (Taiwan Occupational Safety and Health Management System). By integrating risk control into the design stage, HDEC has established a management framework centered on risk prevention and continuous improvement. In addition, HDEC’s well-being program offers medical consultations, lifestyle counseling, and health seminars to foster a working environment that emphasizes safety, health, and well-being.
