HDEC Corporation has been awarded Kaohsiung City’s “BTO Project of Linhai Wastewater Treatment Plant and Reclaimed Water”. This is another large-scale BTO project in the reclaimed water sector for HDEC since 2016.
The project, won by a joint venture led by HDEC (55%) together with CTCI (45%), has a total construction value of USD $131 million (TWD$ 4.03 billion). Scope of the work includes construction of a sewage treatment plant (capacity: 55,000 CMD/per day), a reclaimed water treatment plant (capacity: 33,000 CMD/per day), a wastewater laboratory building, and installation of 9.7 km of pipelines for intake and distribution system.
A concession entity will be set up for construction beginning in November with operations expected to commence in 2021. The concession period will span eighteen years until 2036.
