The project is the first public sewage recycling BTO project in Taiwan.

The Kaohsiung City Government sees water recycling and reuse as a global trend. In order to lower the cost of recycled water treatment, maintain river water quality and ensure a steady water supply to industrial areas to resolve water shortage issues, the Fengshan River Sewage Treatment Plant was transformed into a tertiary water recycling plant. Once completed, the plant will make Kaohsiung the first city in Taiwan to provide a steady supply of recycled water.

The project included the construction of a recycling plant and distribution pipelines, and the operation of sewage and recycling plants. Concession period: 15 years.
